Does RingCentral save call logs or recordings made by my team members, and how can I request a copy?
Information on RingCentral call log and recording storage, retention periods, and how to request a copy.
By default, RingCentral saves call logs but does not automatically record calls made or received by your team members. Call recording can be manually enabled if you need to save recordings and transcripts of these calls.
Please note that RingCentral has a retention policy for how long records remain on their servers:
-
Call Recordings: up to 90 days, with a maximum of 100,000 recordings per account
-
Call Logs: up to 90 days
That said, if your team requires copies of these logs for record-keeping purposes, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate with our IT team to ensure they are properly backed up before the retention period expires.
You can find more information about RingCentral’s data retention policy here.
