When do additional costs apply?

Because DCX acts as the Employer of Record in this partnership, you can rest assured that all standard costs associated with your team member are covered by the monthly fee. 

There are a few occasions when additional costs need to be passed through, for example, if you wish to give your team member an additional salary increase not already covered by the DCX annual merit increase, or if you want to upgrade specific hardware or software for your team member. 

Here’s a list of all situations that carry a pass-through of additional costs: 

• Team member salary increases that are in addition to the standard DCX annual merit increase. For more details on this process, go to this article.  

• Rewards and bonuses that you wish to gift your team member, above the standard ones that DCX already covers each year. More information can be found here.  

• IT-related upgrades, either to hardware and equipment, or software that’s not already covered by the DCX monthly fee. For more information on IT-related matters, head to the IT section of this Knowledge Base.  

• Enrollment on one of our Academies or Express courses, if your team member has not already been hired via one of these. You’ll get more information on this here. 

• Shipping physical gifts or items to your team members. These often require international, pre-pay duties or taxes which, when they aren’t paid, have to be covered by DCX in order for the item(s) to be released. More details on this can be found here.  

• Arranging for gifts to be ordered and delivered to your team members in the Philippines (not shipping internationally), for example, flower arrangements, baby gifts, etc. We are happy to help organize these on your behalf and any costs incurred will be passed through.
