My team member requested "Solo Parent Leave". Where do I find more information?

What is Solo Parent Leave (SPL)?  SPL is a government-mandated benefit that covers employees who are solo parents. This benefit is designed to support solo parents in fulfilling their parental responsibilities that require physical presence.

 

Dates requested and approved are NON-BILLABLE to our clients.

 

Coverage, Eligibility, and Benefits:

1. Employee Requirements:

    • Employees must have at least 6 months of service with DCX to be eligible for Solo Parent Leave.
    • Eligible employees must provide a Solo-Parent ID to the DCX HR team to avail of the benefit.

2. Number of Days Leave:

    • Qualified employees are granted seven (7) additional leaves specifically for Solo Parent Leave purposes.
    • The seven (7) additional Solo Parent Leave days are reset or refreshed every work anniversary of the team member.

3. Non-Cumulative and Non-Convertible:

    • Solo Parent Leave days are non-cumulative, meaning they cannot be accrued or carried over from one period to another.
    • These leave days cannot be converted to cash.

Note:

    • Team members are required to coordinate with their respective Team Leads when availing Solo Parent Leave. This ensures proper communication and planning within the client and the team.
